BURLINGTON, Iowa – Eight local organizations will share $10,000 in new donations raised by the 2009 Catfish Bend Casino’s Annual Charity Golf Classic. The annual tournament was played at Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, IA on Friday, July 31, 2009 and raised monies for the following charities:
- $2000 to United Way of Burlington (From Two Rivers Bank)
- $2000 to the Ft. Madison Bloodhound Family Athletic Foundation (From Baxter Construction)
- $1500 to the Des Moines County Branch of the American Cancer Society (From IGT Iowa)
- $1500 to the Ft. Madison YMCA (From Lee County Bank)
- $1000 to Young House Family Services (From Two Rivers Insurance)
- $1000 to Breast Cancer Awareness (From Feinberg Metals)
- $500 to the Denmark Ball Association (From Huffman’s Farm & Home)
- $500 to the Ft. Madison Economic Development (From State Central Bank)
Winning teams in each flight designated a local charity as recipients for their winning donations.
First Flight:
- 1st Place (57): BAXTER CONSTRUCTION- Tony Baxter, Mike Baxter, Greg Shottenkirk, Mark Heyland
- 2nd Place (58): LEE COUNTY BANK & TRUST- Al Kloess, Terry Van Aken, Jim Butler, Dave Steffensmeier
- 3rd Place (58): FEINBERG METALS- Kurt Featheringill, Jim Seitz, Steve Link, Shane Carter
- 4th Place (58): STATE CENTRAL BANK- Arch Logan, Mike Huffman, Chris Lemek, Jim Lemek
Second Flight:
- 1st Place(65): TWO RIVERS BANK: Jim Olson, Scott Schroeder, Jobe Keltner, Jim O’Neill
- 2nd Place (66): IGT IOWA: Michael Strader Steve Olson, Dale Carden, John Sandel
- 3rd Place(67):TWO RIVERS INSURANCE: Kerry Erts, Steve Staebell, Kent Brown, Guy Brown
- 4th Place (67): HUFFMAN’S FARM & HOME: Bob Huffman, Josh Denning, Paul Schulte, Tony Johnson
